CCSD to Return to In-Person Learning Nov. 9

Clarke County School District

The Clarke County School District announced that students will return to in-person learning on November 9th.

Based on the decreased COVID-19 numbers in Athens-Clarke County, students in Pre-K through eighth grade will have the opportunity to return to in-person classes.

Safety procedures and guidelines include mandatory mask requirements, enhanced cleaning procedures, social distancing expectations, increased maintenance of HVAC systems, limited student transitions, and staffing nurses to monitor COVID-19 protocols.

Those who desire to continue learning from home can do so through the Clarke County School District's virtual option. Students must be registered for their desired instructional model by Sunday, October 18th. If you do not submit a preference for in-person or virtual learning, your student will be registered for in-person instruction. Students will remain in their designated form of instruction until January 15th.

More information can be found on the Clarke County School District's website at Clarke.K12.ga.us

High school students in Athens-Clarke County will remain virtual until further notice, and after-school programs are not available.
