ACC Sees Increase in Early Voters Compared to 2016 Election

As of today, 31,987 Athens-Clarke County residents have already voted.

According to georgiavotes.com, 39.4% of registered voters in Athens-Clarke County have already voted in the 2020 general election. Roughly half of votes were cast in person, and the other half were mailed in. This reflects a 102% increase in early voters compared to the 2016 election. 

The percentage of registered voters who have already voted in Clarke County is lowest compared to surrounding counties, which includes Oconee county with 58.5%, Oglethorpe County with 51.4%, Jackson County with 46.7%, Barrow County with 42.1%, and Madison County with 41.2% of registered voters who have already had their votes counted.
