The Georgia Department of Labor is launching a pilot program today to allow people to schedule on-line appointments to ask questions about their claims.
The scheduler will allow applicants to book a two-hour window to receive a call from a representative. Almost 3,000 appointments will be scheduled during the two-week pilot period. The scheduler is located on the department’s website and is highlighted under the Spotlight area on the homepage.
Georgians have received more than $15 billion in unemployment insurance benefits since March of this year, more than the past 27 years combined. Last week, the GDOL dispersed over $168 million in benefits.
