In Georgia, a Double Shot at Senate Victory

AP Photo/Brynn Anderson

Georgia is the only state with both Senate seats on the ballot in a year when control of the U.S. Senate could be on the line. Republican Sen. David Perdue faces Democrat Jon Ossoff in a race that public polling has shown to be very close. Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler faces a crowded field in the other race that includes GOP Rep. Doug Collins and Democrat Raphael Warnock. Democrats haven’t won a Senate race in Georgia in two decades. But they're hoping that the events of 2020 — and dissatisfaction with President Donald Trump — might bring a change of tides.
