Governor Brian Kemp addressed Georgia residents during a COVID-19 update Tuesday afternoon. While Kemp acknowledged pandemic fatigue and frustration, he still urged Georgians to continue taking precautions to avoid an increase in cases after the holiday.
“With not only Thanksgiving but Christmas, Hanukkah, the New Year, and other holiday celebrations right around the corner, we’re asking all Georgians to continue to do a few simple things to help limit the spread of the virus. The four things for fall that we’ve talked a lot about, wear a mask, practice social distancing, continue to wash your hands, and follow the guidance of our public health officials that we have outlined in our executive orders.”
Kemp also recommended getting flu shots and discussed Operation Warp Speed, the federal government’s effort in developing a vaccine for COVID.
