Early Voting Begins for Georgia Senate Runoff Election

According to GeorgiaVotes.com, nearly 1,332 Athens residents have cast their ballots at the polls in advance following the first day of in-person early voting for the Georgia Senate runoff election. This accounts for about 1 percent of the 81,090 individuals in the county that are registered to vote.

Georgia Votes also states that 15,298 absentee ballots have been requested.

The last day to vote early is December 31, which is also the last day to request an absentee ballot.

Polls will not be open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

The absolute last day to vote in the runoff is January 5, 2021. To find out more about specific polling locations and times, visit your local Board of Elections website.
