UGA Searching for COVID-19 Immunity Study Participants

Billy Howard

The University of Georgia’s Center for Vaccines and Immunology is looking for participants for their COVID-19 immunity study.

Participants, with and without histories of COVID-19, should be adults ages 18-85 who encounter people outside their household at least once a week. The SARS2 SeroPrevalence And Respiratory Tract Assessment, or SPARTA, uses blood and saliva samples to help researchers determine how the body fights the virus and what protections develop after infection.

Participants without a history of COVID-19 will have a first visit consisting of saliva collection, blood drawing, and health questions. They will continue to visit every two weeks until summer 2022, earning $30 for the first visit and $25 after every sixth visit.

Participants with a history of COVID-19 will have the same first visit and continue to visit every four weeks until summer 2022, earning $30 each visit.

People interested in participating can contact ugasparta@gmail.com to learn more.
