The Athens Clarke County Mayor and Commission met for a regular session yesterday evening.
During the session, commissioners unanimously agreed to postpone voting on two zoning items, including the controversial rezoning on Mitchell Street.
The other item involves 47 acres at 5090 and 5098 Old Jefferson Road.
District 5 Commissioner Tim Denson.
"Talking with the constituents and the developers, they have proposed and sent in a binding site plan, so I am recommending that we send this back to the planning commission with that binding site plan attached."
The planning commission will evaluate the binding site plan and provide a recommendation to the mayor and commission at a later date.
The commission also approved the motion to waive sidewalk cafe fees for the 2021 calendar year.
