ACCPD Camera Registry

ACCPD

Athens residents are invited to take part in a police program aimed at helping solve area crimes. The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has created a registry for home and business owners with cameras.

All types of cameras are included, from basic doorbell cams to sophisticated surveillance systems. The registry will allow officers to quickly pinpoint where they can find video evidence.

The department says it does not allow police to view camera systems, but just informs officers that a registered camera is in the area. The camera owner would then be contacted if the system could provide evidence in a criminal case.

The registry can be found at the following link: https://athensclarke.maps.arcgis.com/apps/GeoForm/index.html?appid=0ed444e47fd2448d9e61b706d5edb89b.
