Georgia Ranks in Top 10 for State Exports

It was announced yesterday that Georgia was a Top 10 state in terms of exports.

On Monday, Governor Brian Kemp announced that Georgia was a Top 10 exporting State for the year 2020. This is the first time the state has achieved that.

In 2020 Georgia exported goods to 215 unique countries and territories, with two-thirds going to the 12 countries where the state maintains representation. Those are countries like Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, and Mexico.

Georgia’s number one export remained aerospace products, a sector that totaled $9.98 billion in 2020.

The Georgia agriculture industry was able to maintain its export totals despite the pandemic. The industry saw $4.25 billion in global export profits for 2020.
