Jackson EMC Sending Crews, Contractors to Help With Winter Storm Damage

Jackson Alliance

Jackson EMC is sending crews to help restore power in the wake of damage caused by that winter weather. April Sorrow is Vice President of Communication with the company.

"Much of the U.S. was pretty hard hit by ice storms and pretty bad winter storms over the last week, so Jackson EMC sent 20 of our linemen and mechanics out help the restoration efforts in Virginia,” according to Sorrow. “We also sent 55 of our contractors who work right away for Louisiana and Kentucky who were also hard hit by the storm. Anytime we can we want to go help other people and they return that favor to us when we need them.”

Jackson EMC is the largest EMC in Georgia and one of the largest in the nation.
