During a work session tomorrow evening, the Mayor and Commission will review Athens-Clarke County's COVID-19 response and enforcement activities. A major component of the enforcement update includes a review of occupancy and PPE checks for Athens bars.
Between December 31st and February 13th, Clarke County officers conducted an additional 295 bar occupancy and PPE checks, bringing the total checks to 1,496. Of those checks, ten bars were found to be non-compliant, four of which received a warning, and the remaining six were cited, according to the COVID-19 response presentation that will be reviewed during tomorrow's work session at 5:30 PM.
