Area Leader Commemorate National Crime Victims Week

Crime Victims United

Area leaders are commemorating National Crime Victims Week this week. Mayor Kelly Girtz, the DA’s office, Victim’s Advocates from both the DA and Solicitor General’s Offices, and leaders of community-based crime victim’s support organizations are taking part in a ceremony and information session Wednesday.

DA Deborah Gonzalez:

"We need to make sure that there's awareness of the victims of crime, and so my office does have an office of victims services, so we want to make sure that if an individual is a victim of a crime, please reach out to our office. We have resources that we can help you with."

Representatives from community groups, including Project Safe, The Cottage, and ACC-SANE will also attend the ceremony which takes place at 1 pm tomorrow on the ACC Courthouse steps.
