Two young Northeast Georgia residents were arrested recently on federal charges in the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol in Washington. The FBI says 21 year old Noland Harold Kidd of Crawford and 20 year old Savannah Danielle McDonald of Elberton are charged with entering a restricted building, as well as disruptive and disorderly conduct. Federal agents identified the two through photographic evidence and facebook messages. Both suspects claim they were allowed into the Capitol by uniformed police officers. After they were questioned by the FBI, the suspects were not arrested until June 11.
