Athens News Matters: A True Crime Fundraiser

The Athens Community Council on Aging will be hosting “Night at the Station,” next month, a fundraiser inspired by the train depot turned bustling entertainment hub that was the site of a 1977 murder, and now serves as the home of the ACCA. C04 Alexia:

Earlier this week, Alexia Ridley spoke to Eve Anthony, the President and CEO of the Athens Community Council on Aging, and Cameron Harrelson, the producer, host and creator of Classic City Crime podcast about the site, its history, and the upcoming fundraiser.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
