The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department seeks public input on Bishop Park improvements.
Leisure Services will hold their first public input session for the SPLOST-funded Bishop Park Improvements project ( https://www.accgov.com/10017/Bishop-Park-Improvements ) tomorrow morning.
According to the Athens-Clarke County government, the park's 40-year-old master plan needs to be updated due to considerable growth. Updates will focus on the reconstruction of the aquatics area, including the replacement of the current pool, a new pool house with restrooms, and the incorporation of a splash pad. Remaining funds could be used for pedestrian improvements.
Tomorrow's public input session will be held at the Athens Farmers Market from 10AM to 12:30PM. Additional input sessions are scheduled for July 12th at the Bishop Park BBQ pavilion and a virtual meeting will be held on July 15th.
