ACC Commission meets tonight

ACC Government

Athens-Clarke County Commissioners meet tonight at 6 PM. In front of Commissioners tonight are three votes – additional money for a countywide vaccine incentive program, the future of an eviction relief plan, and a resolution to settle a lawsuit against the county stemming from a 2019 crash involving a county garbage truck.

After those items are dispensed with, lawmakers will move ahead on determining what items will be on the agenda for the Commission’s next scheduled voting meeting on October 5. Among those items are a potential downtown public bathroom which Commissioners can advance into the design phase, and a proposed disparity study addressing how the county spends money with minority-owned businesses.
