Police Searching for Driver of Car that Hit and Killed UGA Student

Athens police are still searching for the driver of the Honda Accord that struck and killed a UGA student before fleeing the scene. 20-year-old Ariana Zarse was crossing Broad Street near Foundry Street when she was hit by the car shortly after midnight on Saturday, October 9th. She later died from her injuries at a local hospital.

Zarse was walking with a friend who was not hit by the car.
