The AthHalf 5K and Half Marathon take place this weekend. Starting at 2:30 Saturday, the 5K will run through downtown and the Boulevard neighborhood.
The 12th annual half marathon will wind through downtown before crossing the finish line at UGA’s Sanford Stadium. Saturday will also feature a Health and Fitness Expo at the Classic Center from noon until 6 pm. AthHalf is an annual fundraiser for the nonprofit AthFest Educates, which provides funding for music and arts education for K-12 youth in Athens.
