Athens-Clarke County Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 21-year old Athens man. Police arrived at the scene in the 200 block of Martin Circle shortly before 11 o’ clock Monday night regarding a shooting.
Officers located the victim, Demetrius Pope, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
