UGA Promotes Safe Holiday Break

With the start of winter break approaching next week, the University of Georgia community is promoting a safe holiday break.

Multiple opportunities for preventative care are available at the University of Georgia Health Center these next few weeks.

Free COVID tests for asymptomatic students, faculty and staff are offered Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the health center on College Station Road. Results come back in 2-3 days, and prior registration is encouraged.

Same-day tests are available for $100, though by appointment only.

On Dec. 20, the health center will partner with the College of Public Health to provide pop-up testing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside of the Tate Student Center.

Walk-in flu shots at the health center pharmacy are also available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shots cost $50 without insurance.

UGA reported 29 COVID cases from Nov. 20 to Dec. 5. while Clarke County reported 102 cases from Dec. 2-8.
