GDOL Reports Highest Number of Georgians Ever Employed

Georgia set a record for job numbers in February. 

According to the most recent numbers from the Georgia Department of Labor, the state registered an all-time high number of employed Georgians in February. Labor Commissioner Mark Butler says the 5,068,389 working Georgians was up 21,102.

The sectors with the most job growth included Administrative and Support Services, Retail Trade and Accommodation and Food Services. 

In addition, the 3.2 percent unemployment rate for the month was the same as in January, an all-time low. 

There are over 230,000 jobs listed online at EmployGeorgia.com, resulting in a minimum of over 320,000 unfilled positions. 

Market salaries for the jobs listed on Employ Georgia range from $23,000 to $102,000, showing a median salary of $42,000.
