When people are sent to prison, there’s an expectation for most they will one day leave prison. But, 27 people were killed inside a Georgia prison last year, a record number. That’s one reason the Federal Department of Justice is investigating Georgia’s prisons.
Among those killed in 2021 was 34 year old Joshua Carl Haynes Lester who left behind his mother, Nancy, and his son, Memphis.
