Seventy percent of American homes have pets, but nearly 50 million pets don’t have access to basic veterinary care.
Some Athens-Clarke County pet owners needing assistance will be getting some support in taking care of their pets. UGA Law School is using a $200,000 grant from PetSmart Charities to help meet the need. Funds will benefit the Community Interventions for Sustainable Access to Care program.
