Athens-Clarke Police Offering Reward Leading to Arrest in Fatal Shooting

Athens-Clarke Police are offering a reward in the shooting death of an Athens man. According to a release from the department, Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest in the April 16 fatal shooting of 19-year old Brynarius Smith.

Police say at around 2 am on April 16th, officers responded to a shooting on Cone Drive in Nellie B. Homes to find the victim, who had been shot several times. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Lister at (762) 400-7333 or via email at hovie.lister@accgov.com.
