The Athens-Clarke-County Police Department is investigating a fatal vehicle crash. On Saturday, April 30 around 1:45 pm, police arrived on the scene in the 4300 block of Atlanta Highway for a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV. Initial reports show the motorcycle was traveling east on Atlanta Highway and collided with the SUV that was turning left into Sam’s Club.
The motorcycle driver, 19-year old Christian William, of Nicholson, was taken to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact Officer First Class Dustin Tilley at 762-400-7355 or email at dustin.tilley@accgov.com.
