Advance voting for the May 24th primary begins today and runs through Friday May 20th. Saturday voting will take place May 7th and 14th.

In Athens, you can advance vote at six locations including the Elections Office, the main library, the Miriam Moore Community Center, the ACC Extension Office and the Winterville train depot.

In Oconee County, advance voting takes place at the Board of Elections office. You can request a ballot through May 13th by visiting the Georgia Secretary of State's website, or you can call your local election office to have one mailed.

Sample ballots can also be found at the Georgia Secretary of State’s website.

Democratic and Republican voters will be deciding their party nominees in dozens of local, state and federal races, while ACC voters will vote for the county's next Mayor, as well as four contested commission seats and three open Board of Education seats.
