Athens-Clarke Residents Asked for Feedback on Energy Plan

ACC Government

Athens-Clarke County residents are being asked to weigh in on the county’s effort to transition to clean and renewable energy. ACC Public Information Officer Jeff Montgomery says this is a long-term plan which will impact Athens residents for some time.

The plan was developed by the ACC Office of Sustainability in conjunction with several other agencies. It will be presented to the Mayor and Commission, who are expected to vote on the measure at their August 2nd meeting.

Residents can attend an in-person meeting at the Athens Regional Library this evening at 6 pm. Public comments will be accepted through July 22nd. To take the survey, or for more information, visit www.accgov.com/green
