St. Mary’s Healthcare System recently completed its 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment. By law, nonprofit hospitals must complete the process every three years. The assessment covers both quantitative and qualitative needs and the process helps the hospitals prioritize the most pressing concerns.
Dr. Tamara Bourda, Vice President of Community Health and Wellbeing at St. Mary’s Healthcare System, which covers a 17-county area. She says in addition to community needs, they also consider available resources and assets as well as recommendations from stakeholders.
