The College Football Playoff National Championship Game will return to Atlanta in 2025.

The game was originally set to be hosted in Las Vegas, but due to scheduling conflicts, the College Football Playoff committee had to look for a different host city.

Atlanta hosted its first national championship game in 2018. A game that will go down in infamy for many Georgia fans as Alabama beat Georgia, 26-23 in over-time.

Atlanta will join Miami as the only two cities in the College Football Playoff’s original 12-year contract to host two title games.

According to WSB-TV, an official announcement is expected this afternoon with Governor Brian Kemp, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, and Atlanta Sports Council President Dan Corso in attendance.
