GA Court of Appeals to visit Athens

The University of Georgia School of Law will host the Georgia Court of Appeals on Wednesday, September 28th for oral arguments.

The court is set hear four cases involving ineffective assistance of counsel, the scope of discovery, the TV Act and service of process by substituted service. The bench will be composed of Presiding Judge Christopher McFadden, Judge Elizabeth Gobeil and Judge Benjamin Land, all UGA law school graduates.

The judges will participate in a question-and-answer session following the arguments. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and professional attire is required. Guests will only be allowed to enter and exit between arguments.
