The award-winning August Wilson play “Jitney” is coming to the historic Morton Theatre in Athens. Proceeds from the performances benefit Paine College and the United Negro College Fund Campaign.
Fred Smith, with the Athens Area Paine College Club, Louie Love one of the production's stars and producers Nick Starr and Princess Starr say it’s important to bring Wilson’s work to audiences.
Performances are on Saturday at 6 pm and Sunday at 3 pm at the Morton Theatre.
