The new judicial center will house many of the functions in the current Clarke County courthouse.

Athens-Clarke County is taking comments on its proposed Judicial Center through next Wednesday.

The center is part of the project list to be funded from the 2020 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. The facility is expected to house most of the functions currently located in the ACC courthouse as well as other judicial functions.

About $67.1 in funding has been allocated with $44 million designated for construction. Participants in the survey will be asked to help provide guidelines for evaluating potential sites measures such as acreage, transit access and connection to utilities, among other factors.
