Georgia ranks among the lowest in the country for flu vaccinations.

Flu season is upon us, and Georgia is already reporting cases of influenza in the state. While health professionals are urging residents to get flu shots, COVID-19 boosters, and other inoculations, that message doesn’t seem to be swaying some Georgians. A recent report from the personal finance website WalletHub shows the Peach State is in the bottom five when it comes to getting vaccinated. Analyst Jill Gonzalez says vaccines can limit the severity of illnesses as well as prevent deaths.

Massachusetts had the highest vaccination rate in the nation, Mississippi had the lowest.
