Clarke Middle School to host ribbon-cutting ceremony for grand opening of Clarke Middle Health Center

Clarke Middle School will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the Clarke Middle Health Center at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Nov. 10. This new clinic will serve the students, families and faculty of Clarke Middle and Alps Road elementary schools by providing free medical, legal, and counseling services.

The clinic has been made possible by the efforts of the Clarke County School District and the Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership. As such, the Clarke Middle Health Center will operate as a pediatric-care rotation site for Augusta University and work alongside the University of Georgia’s Aspire Clinic, the Community Health Law Partnership Clinic, and La Clínica in LaK’ech.

Due to the likelihood of gusty winds moving in ahead of the tropical system, the event will move indoors to the Alps Elementary School cafeteria.

After a few remarks, the ribbon-cutting will take place, followed by tours of the health center.
