The University of Georgia shut down Stegeman Coliseum on Wednesday for repairs after officials reported that a piece of the ceiling had fallen.

While UGA has not released the full extent of damages, the situation necessitated the rescheduling of tonight’s gymnastics meet between Georgia and Arkansas to Gas South Arena on Sunday. Other coliseum events like the Mar. 10 gymnastics regular season-finale between Georgia and Michigan and upcoming graduation ceremonies may be affected as well.

In a statement issued late Thursday night to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, UGA officials report that no one was injured in the crash. Officials have not released how long repairs will take.
