Friday marks the last day of early voting in the race for the vacant seat in Athens-Clarke County Commission District 2 — and numbers have remained relatively low with fewer than 400 votes cast in the early voting period.
Election day, and the final day for voters to cast their ballot is Tuesday, March 21.
Those running for the seat are former ACC commissioner Melissa Link and former schoold board member Kirrena Gallagher.The commission seat was left vacant following former commissioner Mariah Parker’s resignation in August 2022.
