Georgia's unemployment rate remains low for the seventh consecutive month, according to Georgia Labor Commissioner Bruce Thompson.
At the end of February, Georgia recorded a 3.1 percent unemployment rate. The state has maintained that number since September 2022. It is five-tenths lower than the national unemployment rate of 3.6 percent.
The number of workers on employer payrolls rose slightly to 4.88 million, which is 135,000 above payroll levels last January.
The University of Georgia was listed as one of Georgia’s top five employers, featuring 700 job listings online in February.
