An Athens Regional Library employee is receiving statewide recognition. Rebecca Ballard has been named the 2022 Georgia Public Library Employee of the year. Ballard is Children’s Services Coordinator at the facility.
She also assists all branches in the system with their programming as well. She began her library career in educational technology, teaching and assisting patrons with computers and software. She says the library offers a wealth of services and resources for the community.
