Governor Brian Kemp has signed legislation supporting Georgia’s economy and workforce. Among the bills signed into law, HB 128, which is aimed at streamlining certifications for minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses and increase access to state procurement opportunities.
In addition, the governor touted Georgia’s growing economy during his tenure, citing over 150,000 new jobs announced on projects that the state was involved in, totaling over $60 billion in investments.
He says a majority of those jobs and investments have gone to communities outside the metro Atlanta area,
Kemp also signed SB 213, which makes it easier for property owners to replace existing manufactured homes, and HB 230 which addresses revenue and taxes for a downtown Augusta project.
