UGA women’s tennis advances to semifinals

The University of Georgia women’s tennis team advanced to the NCAA national semifinals with a 4-0 victory over Michigan at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday.

In doubles, Georgia’s Meg Kowalski and Lea Ma picked up a 6-1 victory, while Gigi Grant and Mai Nirundon fought to win 7-6 in a decisive tiebreaker. Meanwhile, Georgia’s Anastasiia Lopata, Mell Reasco and Kowalski clenched wins in singles.

The fourth ranked Bulldogs take on top ranked North Carolina on Friday at 5:30 in an effort to advance to the NCAA championships for the first time since 2019.
