The Clarke County School District’s Summer meal program is getting underway this week.
In addition to students who enrolled in summer school, meals will also be offered for members of the community at six school sites. Children up to age 18 will be able to visit the sites for free meals from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Adults can also participate at a cost of $4.25 per meal. The sites are Barrow, Gaines, Stroud, and Oglethorpe Elementary schools, Burney-Harris-Lyons and Hilsman Middle Schools.
Additionally, mobile meal sites are available at various summer camps at local partner churches and organizations.
The meals are provided Monday through Thursday until June 29th.
