In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still nearly 13 percent of full-time employees are working from home with an additional 28 percent working a hybrid schedule. A recent report lists Georgia as one of the best states for working from home. Jill Gonzalez is an analyst with the personal finance website WalletHub. She says there are several factors why Georgia was near the top of the list, including relatively low internet costs, detached homes, and larger homes than in many places around the nation.
Researchers said there are areas where the state could show improvement, particularly when it comes to cybersecurity. Georgia needs to reduce the number of internet crime victims and the amount lost by those victims.
According to analysts, the best work-from-home conditions include low costs, reasonable comfort and a high level of security.
