Barrow County Investigation Leads to Arrest, Drug Seizure

A six-month long investigation by the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of an Auburn man. According to release from the office, 52-year old Joseph Vanderford is charged with multiple counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Sale of Methamphetamine. The arrest comes after the Narcotics Unit and SAWT team executed a search warrant at a home on Fred Kilcrease Road in Auburn Tuesday. Deputies seized seven pounds of meth, several “Ecstasy” pills and two guns. More charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information regarding the case is asked to contact the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit at 770-307-3080 extension 3083.
