The Clarke County Board of Education green-lit two leadership hires in the district's Academic and Student Support Division, as well as two assistant principals during its called meeting last Thursday.
Jacinta Henry has been hired as the districts Executive Director of Special Education, after working as CCSD's Special Education Coordinator since October 2022.
Veronica Johnson, who has worked as a middle school counselor in Clarke County schools for 18 years, was approved as the new Director of School Counseling.
The board also approved the hires of Dr. Randall Watkins, a teacher at Hilsman Middle School, and Mr. Nick Hussain as Hilsman's two assistant principals under new principal Dr. Kenneth Vaughan.
