ACC Government Seeking Public Input on Fire Station Location

Clarke County residents are invited to comment on potential sites for the Fire Station #5 replacement Wednesday evening.

The Athens-Clarke County government is holding the first of two public meetings regarding possible site locations for Fire Station #5. Community feedback is welcome on the eight possible locations. Wednesday’s meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 pm at the ACC Tennis Center on Lexington Road. Residents can drop in anytime during the meeting with questions or comments. In addition, an online survey seeking public input is available at www.accgov.com/fire through Sunday, July 30^th.

A second meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 20 from 5 to 7 pm at Fire Station #7 on South Barnett Shoals Road.
