AthFest Educates, the parent organization of the AthFest Music and Arts Festival, has announced this year’s event was the most successful in the organization’s history. Mary Joyce is the Executive Director of the nonprofit. She says the $100,000 raised this year is more than double the highest amount AthFest has ever raised.

The 2023 festival was the 25th event and took place June 23rd-25th in downtown Athens. The festival featured more than one hundred and fifty bands across three outdoor stages and in ten club venues, over 70 artists in the Artist market, and the return of the Club Crawl. Additionally, attendees enjoyed the convenience of the festival zone, which allowed participants to carry alcoholic beverages around the festival area.

To date, AthFest Educates has distributed more than $580,000 for music and arts education for K-12 Clarke County youth.
