States are continuing to cull residents from Medicaid rolls since the continuous coverage policy during the COVID-19 pandemic ended. Kathy Hempstead is Senior Policy Advisor with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
She says about half of those affected will be eligible for employer coverage and many can use the affordable care marketplace, but nearly a quarter will end up uninsured. She says the process will take months.
Hempstead says many people will qualify for subsidies to help pay marketplace premiums. Visit www.RWJF.org/Medicaid for more information.
