Georgia Professional Standards Commission continues to amend words from teacher preparation lessons.

Members of the Georgia Professional Standards Commission are continuing to amend certain words from teacher preparation lessons.
The AJC reports board members held a virtual meeting to vote on replacing words like diversity, with differences, biases with preconceptions and equity with fairness. The word changes were made
for teacher lessons in political science, math, history, geography and economics.

Several advocates spoke out against the substitutions saying its a bellwether for curbing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at the higher education level.
