The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office has identified three suspects accused of running from a School Resource Office at Winder-Barrow High School Thursday, which resulted lockdowns at three Barrow County schools.
According to a release from the sheriff’s office, 21-year-old Lamonte Smith of Lawrenceville, 19-year-old Jaywan Edwards of Columbus, and 20-year-old Christian Williams, of Norcross were identified by investigators as the three intruders at Winder-Barrow High School. They are each charged with one count each of Obstruction, Criminal Trespass, Disruption of Public School, and Loitering in School Safety Zone.
Barrow County authorities are working with other area law enforcement agencies to take the individuals into custody.

Three Barrow county schools went on lockdown Thursday morning. According to a release from the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, the lockdown was a precaution after three intruders were confronted by law enforcement in Winder-Barrow High School’s gymnasium The trio of males reportedly ran from the School Resources Officer after he attempted to identify them. The Sheriff’s Office and Winder Police Department responded and the high school, as well as Russell Middle School and Winder Elementary School were locked down.
Video camera footage from the school showed the intruders left the school and fled in a black car.
